Your Instagram, TikTok, YouTube and X in Google Search: how to track them in Search Console

Google Search Console now has platform properties: add your Instagram, TikTok, YouTube or X account and Search Console shows how its posts perform in Google Search, Discover and News, including clicks, impressions and the searches people used. Add each account separately and verify ownership.

What changed

In July 2026 Google added a new Search Console property type for creator and business accounts on Instagram, TikTok, X and YouTube. It covers how those posts appear in Google Search, Discover and Google News, not activity inside the apps themselves.

How to add your accounts

  1. Open Search Console and choose Add property from the property selector.
  2. Select Add next to Instagram, TikTok, X or YouTube.
  3. Follow the prompts to verify you own the account.
  4. Select Go to property. Data can take a few days to appear.
  5. Repeat for each account, including second profiles on the same platform.

What you'll see

  • Performance: clicks, impressions, average click-through rate and position, by post.
  • Insights: trends, top content, and the searches that led people to your posts.
  • Achievements: click milestones.

Why it matters for local businesses

Your social posts can show up when people search your name, your service or your area. The queries report tells you what people want to know, which is exactly what to answer on your website, your Google Business Profile and your next posts. Consistent social profiles also give search engines and AI assistants one more matching source about your business.
